Say Hello to Push Notifications

Monnetta can now keep you up to date with the things that happen in your shared budget.

You can receive notifications when there’s a new message from the Monnetta Bird, a reply from the Support, or a message from your Budget Partner.

You’re also in control of what you receive. Open Chat Settings and choose whether you want notifications from your partner, the Monnetta Bird, both, or neither.

There are no unnecessary notifications — just the ones you want to see.

You Own Your Data

When we say you own your data, we mean it.

You now have a complete control over your data. You can export, import or delete your financial data directly from the app. Keep a personal backup, move your budget to a spreadsheet, or simply keep a copy of your financial history — it’s up to you.

Your data stays in your hands.

Spending History Insights

You can now explore back of your spending history to see how your spending habits evolve over time. View your expenses by month, 3, 6 or 12 months, by category, or tags to uncover long-term trends and patterns. You can access it from Home Screen > Current Month > Spending History

If you keep your tags organised, this becomes a powerful way to identify the small, recurring expenses that gradually add up.

Savings Progression

Track how your savings and funds grow over time with the new Savings Progression chart. It’s an easy way to monitor your financial goals and spot changes early.

If you notice your savings trend starting to decline, you can take action before it becomes a bigger problem.

Excluding an expense from a fund is a feature in Monnetta that helps you track your expenses while protecting your monthly balance at the same time. This feature is now more intuitive. We’ve redesigned the Exclude from Fund screen to reduce taps and make the process more visible.

Speed Up Excluding an Expense from a Fund

Sometimes you know in advance that most expenses will be excluded from a fund. For example, if you’re on vacation, you’d expect most expenses to be excluded from your Vacation fund. To save time, you can now link a category to a fund in advance. The next time you log an expense in that category, it will automatically be excluded from the linked fund.

Filter by Tags

You can now filter expenses within a category by tags. This makes it easier to find specific expenses and see exactly how much you’ve spent on them, helping you stay more aware of your spending habits.

Overspending Awareness

We added something small but useful: when you log a transaction, you’ll now see right away how it affects your monthly target for that category.

Going over in one category (say, Going Out) isn’t a big deal — that’s what flexibility is for. But if you’re seeing blue across several categories under WANTS, that’s a signal worth paying attention to. It usually means your overall WANTS budget is at risk.

Aware Of Your Spending Patterns

We believe your mind shouldn’t be overwhelmed by numbers. What matters is seeing what’s truly useful because showing random data does not automatically mean clarity.

With our next update, you’ll experience Monnetta’s minimal charts designed to highlight your spending habits by comparing your current month with last month and the overall average.

When you’re about to exceed your wants target (80% of your planned wants), Monn Bird will send a gentle reminder using the blue chat badge.

Faster Expense Logging with iOS Shortcuts

You can now log expenses in seconds without losing awareness. After a quick one-time setup, paying with your phone can automatically open Monnetta with the transaction ready to log. Instantly see how it impacts your category and monthly targets before confirming.

Monn Chat TODO List Improvements

Tasks now clearly show who completed what. Some tasks require both partners to act on, while others only need one. It’s now more transparent and easier to manage together.

Arithmetic Operators Support

You can now use +, −, ×, and ÷ when entering transaction amounts. This makes it easier to split bills or quickly adjust totals while logging.
